How can I group my friends?
Creating a ‘friend group’ allows a user to group friends such as family or friends and share a folder with the group without having to assign each designate individually. Once a group is created, you can also assign a group to a new friend when adding. To setup a new friend group:
On mobile devices
- Go to the friends screen
- Select option to add new friend
- Select ‘New group’
- Provide a group name and select one or more friends to be part of the group
- Select option to save
Note: This feature is only available on iOS and Android devices.
On the web
- Mouse over ‘friends’ in the menu bar at the top of the screen
- Select ‘Create a group’
- Provide a group name and select one or more friends to be part of the group
- Select option to save
How do I know when a folder has been released?
Released folders appear in the "Released Folder" list. Depending on the release method, each released folder will either have the folder-release date or label indicating that the folder will be released when the user's status becomes inactive.
How do I change my Trusted Friend?
You manage Trusted Friends on the "Friend Profile" screen:
- Select "My Friends" screen
- Select a Friend
- Select "Edit" (pencil icon)
- Select (or deselect) "Trusted friend" flag
Can I save a profile photo for a Friend?
Yes.
- Select "My Friend" screen
- Select a Friend
- Select "Edit" (pencil icon)
- In the "Add a Photo" section, select an image source
- Select "Done"
What happens once I release a Folder?
Once a folder is released, the following happens:
- All assigned Friend are sent an email with instructions explaining how to access the folder
- The folder will be moved to the "Released Folders" list on the home screen
Can I send folders to myself?
No. Folders can be sent only to other individuals.
How do I change my password?
Your password can be changed as follows:
- Open settings menu
- Select "Settings"
- Enter new password
- Retype new password
- Select "Save"
As a friend, can I remove a folder that someone has shared with me?
Yes. A friend can open their ‘shared with me’ folders and delete/remove as needed. Note: Once removed you will not see updates to the folder unless the owner explicitly shares it with you again.
Can I add more storage to my account?
No. Currently each user is allocated 5GB of storage. However, future versions will include support for adding more storage.
What is a Friend?
A Friend is a friend or family member with whom you wish to share memories.
What is a collection?
A folder is a grouping of one or more photos, videos, audio or documents that have relevance or meaning and form an "album" and can be shared with others.
What is the difference between a Friend and Trusted Friend?
A Friend is a friend or loved one who will receive folders.
A Trusted Friend is a Friend who is responsible for notifying MetLife Infinity when your status become inactive.
How do I add a document?
iPhone and Android support documents differently. Android has native support for documents whereas iPhone does not. For iPhone, the current mechanism to add a document is with an email attachment.
iPhone:
- Open a blank email
- Select the document you wish to attach and select "Open With"
- Select MetLife Infinity
- Enter a description for the document
- Add the document to one or more folders
- Select "Save"
Android:
- Select "Add Document"
- Select "Gallery"
- Browse for a the document you wish to attach
- Select "Save"
- Enter a description for the document
- Add document to one or more folders
- Select "Save"
Can I update a folder after it has been released?
Yes, any changes you make will be available to view by anyone you have released the folder to. Note: If a friend removed the folder from their view, they will not see any updates until the folder is released to them again.

How do I replace a photo, video, audio file or document?
- Open a folder
- Select the file you want to replace
- Once the asset/file is open, select edit option
- Select option to replace either the photo, video, audio file or document

Can I add audio files to a folder?
Yes, you can add an existing MP3 audio file or make an audio recording directly in Infinity.
How do I add an existing audio file within Infinity?
- Open a folder
- Click on the folder to add an asset/memory to the folder
- Select option to add file and select an existing MP3 audio file
- Enter a description and select at least one folder to add
- Select option to complete
Note: This feature is only available through Web, iOS, and Android devices
Can I copy a folder I released or a folder shared with me?
Yes, you may copy both but doing so will count those folders against your available storage.
What is the current session timeout?
Infinity allows you to set your session timeout in increments of 5 minutes from 5 through 30 minutes. You can update the session timeout in your profile preferences.
What is a template folder?
A template folder is a pre-configured folder with pre-populated assets. A template provides the user a ‘starter’ collection. The user can then replace the example assets with their own photos, documents or video or audio recordings.
How do I add an audio recording directly within Infinity?
- Click on the plus button to add a file/memory
- Select the microphone icon at the top and ‘recording voice’ option
- Select ‘Start’ to begin recording
- Select ‘Stop’ to complete recording
- Select check option to complete
- Enter a description or caption and select at least one folder to add
- Select check option to complete
Note: This feature is only available on iOS and Android devices
Can I change the cover photo of a folder?
Yes. To change the cover photo of a folder:
On mobile devices
- Open the folder
- Select the option to edit the folder
- Select ‘Change Cover Photo’ button
- Select a new picture to use (if the folder has only one picture, it will default to that picture)
- Select option to save your setting change
Note: This feature is only available in iOS and Android devices.
On the web
- Open the folder
- To select a different picture to use as the cover photo , mouse over that photo and click the star icon
Can I change my email address?
Yes. To change your email address:
On mobile devices
- From the main menu, select settings
- Enter the new email address in the email address field
- Select the check mark in the top right of the screen to save your setting change Note: This feature is only available through iOS and Android devices
On the web
- Mouse over ‘Welcome,
’ in the menu bar at the top of the screen - Select ‘Edit your profile’
- Update the email address
- Click ‘Save Changes’
What is the scheduled reminder feature on the folder options?
The scheduled reminder feature allows a user to setup reminder notifications when a period of time has lapsed for updating an unreleased folder. For example, I can setup a reminder to automatically notify me in 3 months to update my family picture folder with recent activity. Note: This feature is only available through Web, iOS and Android devices.
How do I know which folders were released by me and which collections were shared with me?
On the My Folders page, you can select the “Released” filter to view only folders you have released, and the “Shared with me” filter will display only the folders others have shared with you.
